Numismatists, historians, and coin enthusiasts from around the world will gather in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, for the XVII International Numismatic Congress. Hosted by Goethe University Frankfurt under the auspices of the International Numismatic Council, this prestigious event will take place from 12–17 September 2027 at the university’s Campus Westend.
Event Schedule
The Congress kicks off with an Opening Ceremony on the evening of Sunday, 12 September. Attendees can look forward to four full days of sessions on Monday 13th, Tuesday 14th, Thursday 16th, and Friday 17th, with a half-day session on Wednesday 15th. Mid-week, on Wednesday afternoon, participants will have the opportunity to explore Frankfurt and its surroundings through various local tours. Additionally, pre- and post-congress excursions are planned, offering attendees a deeper dive into numismatic history and cultural heritage.
Organizing Committee & Advisory Board
The Congress is being coordinated by a distinguished team, including experts from Goethe University, the Deutsche Bundesbank, the Historisches Museum Frankfurt, and other leading institutions. The advisory board consists of scholars from prestigious numismatic and historical organizations across Germany.
